Make Changes on Source Code

I would like to make changes on the WAF source code and build the assemblies again. Do I need to preserve those assemblies properties including the version number?

Also can I digital sign the WAF assemblies with my own private key?

 Thanks,

  1. No, it is not necessary to preserve the assembly properties.
If you change the WAF source code then I would prefer that you change the assembly file name and the assembly product name as well. This way it won’t create misunderstandings about which is an original WAF assembly and which is a modified one.
  2. Yes, you can sign the WAF assemblies with your own private key.
More information can be found on the License page.

Thank you very much for your prompt reply.

Would like to double confirm that I don't have to include a complete copy of WAF license file in my distribution, becasue it is a compiled code. Right?

Also wondering the copyright text shows in assembly DLL file properties dialog, can I really change whatever I want to, say 'My Software Limited Copyright 2013'?

Thanks,
Kelvin
