Loading .xaml files in VS

Most of the xaml files throw an error for me in VS. Is this normal? Is there a way around it?

The 'ResourceAssembly' property of the 'Application' type cannot be changed after it has been set.

at System.Windows.Application.set_ResourceAssembly(Assembly value)

I have never encountered the error message you mention: The 'ResourceAssembly' property of the 'Application' type cannot be changed after it has been set.

I’m able to open all XAML files in Visual Studio without seeing any error.

Unfortunately, I can’t reproduce your issue on my test machines.

  • Windows Vista SP2 – Visual Studio 2008 SP1 Team System
  • Windows XP SP2 – Visual Studio 2008 SP1 Team System
  • Windows XP SP3 – Visual Studio 2008 SP1 Express (C# Edition)

I think it has to do with VS2008 and Windows 7. I have had the same issue with other code.
