Notify Changed Properties PersonListView --> BookListView

Jan 17, 2012 at 11:58 AM

Hi there,

I'm just getting started with WPF, MVVM and WAF. I took a look at the BookLibrary-Sample.
One thing I'm struggling with is updating properties in the gui. I'll give you an example:

- Go to the Address Book (PersonListView)
- Change a property of a person (e.g. Name)
- Go to the Book Library (BookListView)
- The Name is still the old one. It's only refreshed, when the application is restarted.

Is there some technique in WPF or in the WAF for managing such a scenario? PersonListView and BookListView both get their data from the EntityService. Because of this (I think) it shouldn't be difficult to inform the other ListView about the changes (through the EntityService). Does anybody got an idea how to solve this problem?

Thanks a lot for submitting this issue. It is a bug in the way the BookListView and the BookView bind to the person’s name.

This issue will be fixed in the next version “2.5.0.2”.
